The film “Carbide”, by director and screenwriter Josip Žuvan, had its world premiere on September 23, 2022. at the international film festival in San Sebastian as part of the New Directors program.
Carbide was shown as the “closing night film” and thus closed this prestigious festival.
The film was well received and the reactions were excellent.
Carbide features debutants Franko Floigl and Mauro Ercegović Gracin starring as lead roles, and in addition to the young actors there are Ljubomir Bandović, Marija Škaričić, Ivana Roščić, Asja Jovanović and Zdenko Jelčić.
The film was produced by Maxima film (Croatia) and Biberche productions (Serbia) as co-producers, with support of the Croatian Audiovisual Center, the Film Center of Serbia, MEDIA, EURIMAGES and HRT.
