It would be an understatement to say people were looking for an extra ticket at the premiere of These are the Rules by director and screenwriter Ognjen Sviličić, because the screening at the Cinema Europe was filled to the brim. Everybody had high expectations while watching the film which had screened at 18 festivals, won eight awards and is now setting to win over the local audience.
The premiere was held on Monday in the splendour of the Cinema Europe and apart from its director, it was attended by the two leading actors – Emir Hadžihafizbegović and Jasna Žalica – along with the rest of its large crew. The audience’s reaction confirmed all the buzz the film created at some of the most prestigeous film festivals, as well as with the film critics, which can mean only one thing – Sviličić did hell of a job.
After the screening of These are the Rules, film’s producer Damir Terešak, director Ognjen Sviličić and the leading actors spoke to the audience, the last two pointing out the fact that they felt they were working on something big since the first day of shooting.
The positive atmosphere moved to the cinema’s lobby, where DJ Robert Mareković continued to entertain the audience – film’s crew, their friends and collegues – late into the night.
