Portraying a blind person, this story tells of blind people’s lives in the city of Zagreb.
The story is about a 40-year old Ivan Kolar, an extremely talented individual, who thinks of himself as a normal, not a handicapped person.

With different directing procedures, including dominant sound effects and dark scenes, perspective of a blind man in the city is illustrated, as well as his unique ways of dealing with everyday problems.

Documentary film “Life in the shadows” is utterly optimistic, just as the main “actor” is.
